Reporter Ade Adepitan and director Johnny McDevitt travel to Rio de Janeiro to join a team of young journalists reporting from inside one of the city's most violent favelas.

For the first time in 30 years, Brazil's military have been put in control of Rio's law enforcement. Alongside the police, they are taking on the drug gangs that control the city's slums, and getting caught in the crossfire is a a constant danger.  With the help of the favela journalists, the team talks to victims, families, campaigners and politicians about the impact of the crisis on those who live in the favelas.
