Krishnan Guru-Murthy travels to El Salvador to meet deportees from the US adjusting to life in a gang-ravaged country.
President Trump says his crackdown on immigration is aimed at removing illegal immigrants and criminals. Increasingly however Salvadorans with deep roots in the US and without a criminal record are being deported to a country they barely know. Notorious street gangs such as MS-13 see deportees as easy pickings for extortion or recruitment. Guru-Murthy interviews Renne, who fled to America when he was 14 after his father was murdered by the gangs.
