Marcel Theroux visits Thailand to investigate the controversial Dhammakaya movement, whose modern take on Buddhism has followers across the world.

Its critics say it’s a money obsessed cult that exploits its millions of devotees, and point out the abbot who leads it is on the run, facing charges of money laundering.  Dhammakaya says it’s a force for good, and the allegations against them are politically inspired. Theroux and director Tosca Barnes investigate.
