The spring 2019 series begins with a report on the situation of LGBTQ+ people in Brazil, where the sense of danger has become more acute since the openly homophobic Jair Bolsonaro became president.

In Sao Paulo in the run-up to last month’s carnival, Seyi Rhodes and director Kate Hardie-Buckley discovers the country’s reputation for sexual tolerance is unearned; estimates suggest someone from its LGBT community is killed every 16 hours.
