Reporter Adnan Sarwar and Director Tom Cross meet the pupils, parents and teachers trying to survive at a primary school caught in a turf war between lawless, drug dealing gangs in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Cape Flats have long had a notorious reputation for lawlessness and violence, but with 279 children killed in the last year alone, the government has sent in the military. It’s done little to stop the daily shootings, with those carrying guns getting younger and younger.
