Correspondent Seyi Rhodes and director Alex Nott venture into the escalating civil war in Ivory Coast.
For four months the incumbent president, Laurent Gbagbo, had clung to \power despite losing to rival Alassane Outtara in the UN-backed \elections. On arrival, Rhodes and Nott find themselves stranded in the \commercial capital Abidjan, as both sides embark upon a bloody battle \for control. As thousands try to flee, roadblocks are set up all over \the city by Gbagbo supporters, who steal and kill at will. The \programme-makers are held at gunpoint, beaten up and robbed. Even when \the fighting is over the crew are attacked when visiting wounded people \in hospital.
