Shaunagh Connaire and director Patrick Wells reveal how some Chinese hospitals use nausea-inducing drugs and electric shock therapy to 'cure' gay people.
The team work with activists from the largest gay activist group in China, the LGBT centre. As well showing disturbing footage from inside a hospital of electric shock treatment, the film is a vivid portrait of what it means to be an activist in modern China, under constant surveillance and the threat of arrest.
