Sophie Morgan and director Simon Rawles investigate how leaked footage of the shocking treatment of young prisoners, most of them Aboriginal teenagers, has sparked outcry in Australia and a government inquiry.
The teamtrack down one of the boys at the centre of the scandal, who reveals his harsh treatment behind bars. The team also exposes a hidden issue that makes the situation of these young prisoners even more upsetting. They discover evidence suggesting that as many as 40 per cent of these young prisoners have an intellectual disability known as foetal alcohol spectrum disorder linked to their mothers use of alcohol during pregnancy.
